Grey days give me the Willies

Added to holdover images of Willie Wagtails (Rhipidura leucophrys) as leaden skies over Tyto today drained most colour from the place.

Looking good - on a plastic post.

Bird's real: perch converted to post from plastic sign plank.

King of a small castle.

Sunnier scene recently on the lagoon.

Very clever to convert the perch into a post! We've got similar weather down here - a couple of good days and then several gray ones and some rain. Terrible weather for Queensland!

G'day TT,
Love the heading!
If you want grey, we Gippslanders can give you GREY. Been the coldest winter here for some years. We've just gone into frost mode which usually means some fine sunny days will follow - hopefully.
I think it was the naturalist Crosbie Morrison who was asked once what his favourite bird was and of all the exotic and uncommon birds he'd studied, his reply was the Willie Wagtail!
