Plenty of Cattle Egrets (Ardea ibis) around Ingham and at times in pony club next door but not often seen in Tyto Wetlands.
More coastal cattle roading yesterday brought shaky images - some taken (in isolated safety) from moving car. Needs must on occasion.
Also hard to get it sharp at long range.
Unhappily, couldn't stop and steady for Brown Falcon (Falco berigora) on post because it was obviously not prepared to stand around on fence post.
Dark bird is partner of light morph from post last week.

Nice images of the Brown Falcon even if you couldn't stop and steady! btw I had to stop and make sure I was in the right blog - images of cattle just don't seem to fit the profile of crocs and snakes etc!
Might spread the net a bit. Cattle so sedate. Willing to just stand there with those big eyes. Easssy!
Checking account switch.
Hi Tony
Its the Brahmins which give you away, Tony.
Nice sequence of Brown Hawk taking off.
Cheers

+1 on the Brown Falcon comment from Mick. I wouldn't be disappointed by those shots Tony!
Thanks all.
