Juvenile Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo (Chalcites basalis) offers a Red-backed Fairy-wren's
eye view of life after being parasitised.

Well fed. Welfared? Youngster looks good on it, anyway.

Stunning maw. I've never seen one up close. It's quite magnificent. It looks so sharp and its very important to them.
